Geology in Goshen Pass

This trip is now full. Please email to be put on wait list.

Join our fantastic leaders, state geologist David Spears, and recently retired Virginia Tech Botanist, Tom Weibolt, on  a field trip in beautiful Goshen Pass Natural Area Preserve on Saturday, March 18. Both leaders know the site well and, although it may still be winter in the pass, it will likely be a a fine time to see some of the mosses that Johnny Townsend will discuss in his presentation at the VNPS Winter Workshop.

Plan to meet the leaders at 10:30 am. and bring your own bag lunch.

Participants  are advised to be prepared for a rain or shine event as the trip will only be canceled in the case of extreme cold or heavy rain.  Registration is required and space is limited.  The fee for VNPS members is $30.

Registration opens officially today,  January 16; please use the form, below. (SCROLL WAY DOWN FOR FORM)  If you have any issues or cannot register online, call the VNPS office to register – (540) 837-1600. Your call will go to voicemail because of MLK Day Holiday today.

Directions for meeting location will be sent to registrants.  The fee for VNPS members will be $30. If you have questions, please contact Shirley Gay:

Chip, snarky cyber-rodents preventing completion of routes needed to connect diverse pieces of the internet to the completion stages. Registration will open as soon Cyber-Wildlife Control arrives on scene. WE DO NOT REGISTER ANYONE FROM COMMENT SECTION. IF YOU MUST REGISTER THIS MOMENT, CALL OFFICE. NUMBER IS ON THE EVENT PAGE.
