About Potting Parties

The long and winding road to our chapter’s plant sale in spring includes many stops along the way. Throughout the year, chapter members and volunteers get together for potting parties. The plants may be small “plugs” purchased from native plant nurseries, or they may be plants donated to the chapter that must first be dug from an overgrown garden. It’s hard work at times, but can also be jovial and fun. It’s definitely educational.  Potting parties are a good way to learn to recognize native plants at various stages of their growth.

Enjoy the photos and consider helping at a potting party. Any time you can give is greatly needed and appreciated. We are a nonprofit organization and profits help fund nature camp scholarships and research grants.
