Join Vegetation Ecologist Nelson DeBarros via Zoom to learn how daily tides shape a mosaic of marshes, shrub thickets, and forested swamps as he presents findings from a 2024-2025 vegetation survey along Little Hunting Creek.

Using mapped community types, photo points, and site notes, Nelson will highlight how these habitats differ and which plant species you’re most likely to encounter in each—plus a few rarities that make this corridor ecologically significant.  Whether you’re a naturalist, paddler, or neighbor, you’ll come away with a clearer picture of plants at the water’s edge.
