The Grass Bunch offers a re-introduction to grasses, sedges, and rushes at Wakefield Park in Annandale on Saturday, June 26 from 9am to 11am.
It has been a long time since we’ve been able to walk and look at plants together. How much have we all forgotten? This being June, the plants look different from what we saw when last we visited Wakefield in October of 2019. Join us for a walk short in distance but with many species and specimens to look at.
We’ll focus on grasses, sedges, and rushes, but will look at whatever we see. Be sure to bring sunblock, insect repellent, water, and wear a mask if you’re not vaccinated.
Registrants will meet near the tennis courts, across the parking lot from the Audrey Moore Recreation Center.
