Meet with Margaret Chatham at Roundtree Park to identify and appreciate the native shrubs planted from Earth Sangha.  Then we will walk down to Holmes Run and identify invasive exotic shrubs and vines: see the good, the bad, and the ugly, and learn who is who.  We won’t be removing invasives but can prepare for a possible future invasives pull.

Margaret is editor of the VNPS Potowmack News newsletter, an Arlington Regional Master Naturalist and Fraser Preserve Volunteer who removes invasive barberry shrubs in winter and wavy leaf basket grass in summer.

I signed up for the shrubs outing today but ran into a big back up on the MD beltway in Silver Spring so have bailed out. So sorry.
