Steve Pullinger will discuss how Native Americans used plants in their daily living and how we could similartly use them today. We will discuss our local flora and what role each plays, edible plants, medicinal plants, and utilitatian plants. We will briefly touch on basic survival needs and supplies.

Steve Pullinger has taught survival and primitive living skills for the past 30 years. He homesteaded for 20 plus years and produced roughly 80% of their food. Steve is an avid organic gardener and beekeeper. He is a Master Naturalist and has been actively involved in the Rivanna Conservation Alliance since the late 90’s.
