New Meeting Location
Meetings for 2015
We begin holding our programs at a new location starting in November. Time will still be 7 pm. Our meeting room will be Tall Oaks Hall in the Village Center at Warm Hearth Village. Warm Hearth is a retirement community at the south edge of Blacksburg. Driving directions to Warm Hearth are on its website, www.retire.org. From Rt. 460 business in Blacksburg you turn onto Hightop Road, then turn at the 2nd right onto Farmview Drive. Go to the end of Farmview Dr. (1.2 miles) and make a sharp right onto Warm Hearth Dr. The Village Center parking lot is the 2nd left.
Tuesday, November 10, 7 pm. Megan O’Rourke, Assistant Professor in the Horticulture Department will tell us about her work with wildflowers at Kentland Farm.
Tuesday, December 8, 7 pm. Our annual sharing meeting. Bring slides (digital or regular), names of websites, and—new this year—titles of books you think other members would like to know about.
The public is invited to all of our meetings. Looking forward to seeing long-time members and new friends!
