Alaina Krakowiak is a Field Botanist for the Virginia Natural Heritage Program of the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation based in Roanoke, and works in the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests. Prior to this position, Alaina worked as an ecologist for the Southeastern Grasslands Institute for 3 years. Alaina holds a master’s in Biology from Colorado State University and 2 undergrad degrees from University of Tennessee.
