Neil Vaidya is a Member of the Southern Appalachian Wilderness Stewards, Trail Specialist for Pisgah National Forest, and Instructor for the Wilderness Skills Institute held each year in Pisgah Forest in North Carolina. After receiving degrees in Sociology and Environmental Science from the University of Cincinnati, he spent several years exploring public lands west of the Mississippi, where he discovered his fascination with Mycology. He previously worked as a Wilderness Ranger in the George Washington and Jefferson National Forest in Botetourt County.
