Our speaker will be Adam Taylor, the manager of Catawba Sustainability Center in Catawba, VA. He will introduce the Center and the kinds of projects under way there. The Center’s 377-acre farm property is a place of interdisciplinary research and hands-on learning.
Through research, teaching and demonstration of sustainable practices in agriculture, forestry and land management, the staff and students exemplify the notion that learning is interdisciplinary and occurs both in the classroom and with hands in the soil.
Adam also will be leading our tour of the Center on June 2.
