Join Marie Majarov, Shenandoah Master Naturalist, Monarch Butterfly expert, past president, and current board chair of the Virginia Outdoor Writer’s Association, for an approximately 2 mile hike on slightly rolling terrain on the northeast side of Winchester. The hike includes woodland, fields and a very nice wetland area. Signs on the trail interpret the Civil War battle.

If you would like to join us, please RSVP to piedmontvnps@gmail.com.

Directions:
Meet at Millbrook High School (251 First Woods Dr., Winchester, VA 22603) – from Route 7 go north on Millbrook Dr. (about 1 mile east of I 81 and next to a Bank of Clarke Co. branch). When the road curves right toward the front of the school go straight ahead into the parking lot entrance in the rear of the school and go until you get to the end of that lane in a large parking lot. There are athletic fields out there, and you should see several battlefield signs on the bank to your left.

This walk is free and open to everyone. We look forward to seeing you there!
