To reach the Chessie Trail from Lexington, take Rt. 11 north to Old Buena Vista Road (just after the Maury River Bridge), turn right and go 1/2 mile. Just after the Pure Oil sign, turn right into the Chessie Trail parking lot and take the walking path to the Kiosk. Or drive a bit further on Old BV and there are parking areas along both sides of the road.

PLEASE DO NOT PICK THE FLOWERS! Parents, you might explain to your kids that these flowers weren’t planted here by people; their seeds came from a mother plant, they grew up here, and this is their home. Thank you!

If you have any questions about the Chessie Trail itself, please contact chessietrail@gmail.com.

Questions about plants or the Native Plant Society can be directed to Peggy at cobbking@rockbridge.net or Jan at janhuntersmith@gmail.com.
