The Fall Northern Alexandria Native Plant Sale is coming Saturday, September 28, from 9am to 2pm. Many vendors will be hosted at this event in its 16th year – the largest native plant sale in the Washington DC area!

An online table of the vendors with updated contact information is available at http://www.NorthernAlexandriaNativePlantSale.org, when you click on the “Vendors” page.

Please join us in the parking lot of The Church of St. Clement at 1701 N. Quaker Lane, Alexandria, VA 22302.

Follow the Plant Sale on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/NorthernAlexandriaNativePlantSale.

DIRECTIONS:
The Church of St. Clement is inside the I-495 Beltway, near Shirlington & Parkfairfax. From I-395, exit Shirlington/Quaker onto Quaker. After the first light on Quaker, take one of the next two lefts on Crestwood or Oakcrest. Find your parking space on Crestwood or Oakcrest or nearby. The sale will be at Quaker & Oakcrest (at 1701 N. Quaker Lane). Please avoid the parking lot at Convergence Church.

My aim is to promote native plant gardening in our neighborhoods because gardening with natives is better for our watershed, our woodlands, and our wildlife, especially birds.  Bringing together many growers selling a variety of plants makes it easier for neighborhood gardeners to find quality plants and encourages a greater demand for natives in the nursery industry.  Nursery vendors from Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania will be at the sale.

The sale is entirely organized and run by volunteers.  No one makes money from it except the vendors.  The Church of St. Clement provides their parking lot free of charge.  Several friends and members of the Tree Stewards of Arlington/Alexandria assist in running the sale as volunteers.  I organize these events as a labor of love to promote native alternatives to invasive, exotic garden plants and the use of watershed-friendly gardening practices.
