SUMMARY:Grass Class: Meet the Grasses!
DESCRIPTION:When it comes to learning the grasses\, nothing beats holding a
  specimen in your own hand. And now you can do that! Members of the Potowm
 ack Chapter Grass Bunch have been collecting specimens (taken ethically\, 
 with permission) to share with you at our Grass Class August 29 in Great F
 alls.\n\nWe will introduce you to about two dozen common local species\, t
 hen take you for a walk in the meadow at Riverbend Park to find species yo
 u just met in the classroom. Participants will have the opportunity to tak
 e home some specimens — common natives\, introduced pasture grasses\, an
 d problematic invasives — for further study.\n\nNo previous knowledge re
 quired\, just strong curiosity. Because of the hands-on nature of this cla
 ss\, size is limited to 12 participants and advance registration is requir
