Pocahontas Chapter of the Virginia Native Plant Society volunteers at LGBG several times a year. We have cleared invasive ivy, bush honeysuckle and other plants to allow natives to thrive in the Woodland Vale, planted new natives along the lake and cleared ivy and barberry in the school bus parking area. We would love for you to join us as we give back at the gardens. Willingness to “get your hands dirty” is most important and tasks can be assigned based on knowledge and physical ability. All tools are provided. Children over 16 are welcomed. You do not need to be a member to volunteer. We will meet at 8:45 to the left of the fountain behind the visitor center.

Contact Leslie at leleorr4@gmail.com with questions and to RSVP. This can count toward Master Naturalist hours.
