{"id":22128,"date":"2026-06-05T12:07:23","date_gmt":"2026-06-05T16:07:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vnps.org\/piedmont\/?page_id=22128"},"modified":"2026-06-05T12:06:44","modified_gmt":"2026-06-05T16:06:44","slug":"piedmont-chapter-grant-program","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/vnps.org\/piedmont\/piedmont-chapter-grant-program\/","title":{"rendered":"Piedmont Chapter 2026 Grant Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As an organization serving Clarke County residents who\u00a0may\u00a0have an interest in protecting and preserving native plants, the local Piedmont Chapter of the Virginia Native Plant Society (VNPS) requests that you notify your constituents that the local Piedmont Chapter<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>will award\u00a0a total of\u00a0$2,000 this fall to one or more\u00a0well-defined projects located\u00a0in\u00a0Clarke\u00a0County, Virginia that address the <a href=\"https:\/\/vnps.org\/about\/mission\/\">VNPS Mission and Goals<\/a><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Grants\u00a0will\u00a0be\u00a0awarded\u00a0to\u00a0projects\u00a0that\u00a0incorporate one\u00a0or\u00a0more\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0following\u00a0themes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conserving native plant communities in their natural habitats through conservation and land\u00a0 stewardship practices.<\/li>\n<li>Educating the public about the value of native plants and how to encourage them.<\/li>\n<li>Establishing gardens, preserves, or parks that incorporate native plants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Details are in this <a href=\"https:\/\/vnps.org\/piedmont\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2026\/06\/VNPS-2026-Clarke-County-Request-for-Proposals.pdf\">PDF document<\/a>.
