Join Dr. Emily Southgate, VNPS Piedmont Chapter President and botanist, who will discuss some basic features of plant roots, stems and leaves as well as how plants are able to use space, protect themselves, and communicate both internally and with other plants.

Emily teaches graduate courses in botany and ecology at Hood College in Frederick, MD.

This virtual talk will be held via Zoom on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 2:00 pm.
