We decided we will have chapter meetings in January, February, and May but skip the summer months of June through August. The status of the following programs were discussed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>side 2 of the Wong Park sign<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"il\">Plant<\/span> SW Va <span class=\"il\">natives<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Grants for local pollinator gardens for youth based on the money we received at our Fall is for <span class=\"il\">planting<\/span> <span class=\"il\">native<\/span> <span class=\"il\">plants<\/span> <span class=\"il\">sale<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Only nine members completed the poll for social media used and it was decided that we will continue placing photos into the chapter website and not into Instagram.<\/li>\n<li>A new project for \u201cno mowing\u201d in Blacksburg was proposed and more details will have to be looked into before we can discuss it again.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Several board members volunteered to help with four different committees: Program, Publicity, Membership, and Invasive P<span class=\"il\">lant<\/span> Removal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A board meeting was held in mid-November.
