Updates<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>VNPS New River Chapter monthly meetings will resume in September 2026.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/vnps.org\/newriver\/events\/national-forest-appreciation-day-at-pandapas-pond-2\/\">National Forest Appreciate Day<\/a> at Pandapas Pond will be held on June 27th.<\/li>\n<li><b>The February 2026 newsletter is <a href=\"https:\/\/vnps.org\/newriver\/newsletters\/\">now available<\/a>.<\/b><\/li>\n<li>See <a href=\"https:\/\/vnps.org\/newriver\/events\">Upcoming Events<\/a> for more info about our programs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>NEW:<\/strong> Our chapter had provided a grant to print copies of a new booklet titled <strong>&#8220;<em>The Budding Forager&#8217;s Guide to Edible Plants in SW Virginia<\/em>&#8220;<\/strong>. \u00a0This includes both native plants and invasive plants. \u00a0Free print copies are available at our chapter meetings, or an online copy may be viewed <a href=\"https:\/\/hdl.handle.net\/10919\/137805\">HERE<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>&#8220;A Guide to Gardening with Southwest Virginia Native Plants&#8221;<\/em><\/strong>is now live and ready to support your planting efforts.\u00a0 Download <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plantvirginianatives.org\/plantswvanatives\/plant-swva-natives-guide\">here<\/a>.\u00a0 Paper copies are no longer available but hopefully will be reprinted in 2026. \u00a0If you live outside of SWVA or it&#8217;s inconvenient for you to pick up, you can purchase online from <a href=\"https:\/\/vnps.org\/virginia-native-plant-guides\/\">VNPS<\/a> to have it shipped directly to you for $10.<\/li>\n<li>Print copies of the<strong><em> &#8220;Plant Invaders of Mid-Atlantic Natural Areas&#8221;
