Jefferson Chapter member Nancy Weiss will lead a forest ecology walk. This will be an opportunity to learn more about how various tree, shrub, and herbaceous species in Ivy Creek’s forests have changed over time. See how to read the influence of man and imagine how the forest looked 80 years ago.
Free; all are welcome.

Led by VNPS members, our plant walks are usually the third Saturday of each month from March to November. However, check on our Facebook page or emails from the Jefferson chapter to confirm dates and further details for each walk.
The April date may be adjusted this year so that members can participate in the VMI field trip.
These walks are offered jointly with Ivy Creek. 9:00 a.m. at Ivy Creek Natural Area Kiosk located at 1780 Earlysville Rd. The public is welcome to join us!
