Come and learn about how to improve your yard and woodlot for wildlife! The Piedmont Environmental Councils‘ Habitat Assistant, Celia Vuocolo, will teach you how to make a game plan for improving your property’s ecological health, and also touch on what you can do in your backyard to help pollinators.

Janet Davis from Hill House Farm and Nursery, a native plant expert, will be presenting on how to create habitat gardens and the benefits of using natives in your landscape. Kyle Dingus, a Forester with the VA Department of Forestry, will be offering advice on how to improve the health of small woodlots; he’ll be talking about everything from tackling invasives to managing deer. Janet will be selling some of the native plants that she will feature in her talk at the end of the workshop!

This event is free, but we’d ask that you please register so we know how many people to expect.
