Would you like to increase VNPS awareness and membership?  Bring in people with differing backgrounds, perspectives and talents?

Please join us for a discussion of the challenges given us by our Annual Meeting speakers: Jessica Hawthorne, Director of Programs at the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities, and Kevin Bryan, Senior Policy Director at the Keystone Policy Center. They encouraged us to examine how we speak to and welcome those who have not traditionally been involved in the Virginia Native Plant Society.

During this workshop, we’ll review what we learned from our speakers and brainstorm on ways to meet those challenges. Our goals are to identify some concrete steps we might take both at the chapter and statewide level to engage people with new experiences and points of view in some of our work.

You need not have attended the VNPS Annual Meeting in October to participate in and learn from this workshop. We will review Jessica and Bryan’s main points at the beginning of the session.
