The Piedmont Chapter of the VNPS invites you to join Richard and other VNPS members in a car caravan driving south on Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park stopping to see plants, geological formations and scenery along the way, ending at Elkwallow Wayside, where blackberry ice cream, sundaes, and shakes can be purchased. Bring lots of water for drinking. Bring your camera.

Directions: Meet at the pull-off just as you turn off from Rt. 340 onto Skyline Drive at the Front Royal entrance to Shenandoah National Park, in front of the “Welcome to Shenandoah National Park” sign. We will arrange carpools there so we will be able to find parking spaces at stopping points and get people with Park passes in each car.
