Native plants often have specialized interactions with native insects, but we seldom examine how complicated these interactions can be. This talk will focus on the native tomatillo, (Physalis longifolia), as the anchor of a complex food web of specialized moths, bees and beetles, together with their parasites and predators, all eating each other or the plant.
